Personal income growth quickened in February after a months-long slowdown, as disposable income grew faster while personal spending decelerated. QQQ is down 0.24%.
- Personal increased by $101.5 billion or 0.5% in February from the previous month. This is faster than the 0.1% growth recorded in January.
- Disposable personal income increased by $76.1 billion or 0.4%, faster than the 0.1% increase seen in the previous month.
- Personal consumption expenditures jumped by $34.9 billion or 0.2%, slower than the 2.7% growth recorded in January.
- The PCE price index inched up by 0.6% to reflect an increase from 0.5% in January. Excluding food and energy, the index increased by 0.4%, slower than 0.5% in January.
