Vigorous EA is a new Forex expert advisor developed for trading 1 currency pair: EURUSD with a larger time frame. The dev assures us that with successful 21 years backtest results, and scalping approach placing up to 100 orders a week, their EA guarantees stable profits every day. The main motto we see on their website is: “If you’re looking for an EA that makes a consistent profit every day, this is it!” Promising stable daily returns is at least unprofessional. Every experienced trader would say that it is nonsense. Winning trades are changed with losing ones and vice versa. The forex market is volatile and promising stable daily profits sounds like a bad joke.
Detailed Forex Robot Review
The Vigorous EA presentation consists of several sections including live results, key features, backtesting reports, and pricing details. There also is a video, which we supposed should be about the product that is offered on that page. We were disappointed to see that on the Vigorous EA page, Ryan Brown, the vendor of this EA, has put a video of his other products. Among the other expert advisors, he offers to the public are Pinpoint EA and Ranger EA.
Some of the features of the Vigorous EA are grouped in these 4 blocks:

Vigorous EA Strategy Tests
Unfortunately, the dev failed to provide a detailed trading strategy description or setting details. Due to these issues, we cannot consider the software trustworthy or a reliable trading tool.
We have a backtesting report performed for the EURUSD currency pair that can be checked on myfxbook.com.
It has a 1-minute timeframe and a modeling quality of 99.90%. The test started on January 3, 2005, and ended on March 3, 2021. The broker was EagleFX. The account was deposited at $5,000 and generated $122,912.13 of profit with an average monthly gain of 1, 66%. The peak drawdown was 52, 86%. The total gain equaled 2458, 24%. Out of 65733 trades, the EA closed 49606 with profit, which represents 75%. It trades both Long and Short directions equally – 75%. The average loss (-10.47 pips/-$12.14) was twice higher than the average win (5.01 pips/$6.43), meaning the risk-reward ratio was 2:1. The profit factor was 1, 63 and the average trade length was 1 hour and 56 minutes.
As you can see, the system used Martingale and Grid approaches:
Live Demo Account Trading Results
We have live trading results for Vigorous EA represented on the dev’s website:
The first thing that worried us was the Demo, not the Real trading account. If the robot was as good as advertised, then why do the devs trade on a demo account? It looks odd. Secondly, low leverage and small total gain that equals 7, 02%. Taking into account that the account was created on February 15, 2021, the robot could earn much more from the deposited $5. The average monthly gain is 1, 57%. The drawdown is 13, 90% that is too much for this trading account as a trader needs to have 6 profitable months in a row to recover.
The average win rate is 70%. The average win is twice higher than the average loss – the same picture we saw in the backtesting report. The profit factor is 1,46 and the average trade length is 4 hours and 39 minutes, meaning that the system is a scalper. Although we are told that the system is designed for trading EURUSD, its trading activity shows us that it trades other symbols as well: EURGBP, GBPUSD, and USDJPY. The most frequently traded as well as the most profitable currency pair is EURUSD – 1235 trades and 317.02 dollars of profit.
As you can see, the robot uses not only the Scalping approach. It also applies Grid plus Martingale trading strategies. Unfortunately, we do not know when the system decides when to increase the Lot size, which makes us worry about the system’s reliability.
We never recommend trading systems that use Scalping, Grid plus Martingale combinations. It is very dangerous for any trading account.
Pricing
The robot is sold for $397. The package includes 1 real and probably some demo account licenses. A money-back guarantee is absent.
For the same price, you can buy another EA with a money-back guarantee included and much more reliable trading approach.
Customer Reviews
Unfortunately, we couldn’t find any customer reviews on the web.
Although the robot was designed several months ago, its trading results are unsatisfactory as of now. We need more time to monitor the trading performance of this EA to see how it performs in the coming months.
Until now, paying $400 for the EA that lacks a money-back guarantee and displays poor trading results does not seem to be the best trading decision.
