Tesla, the renowned electric-vehicle company, has recently announced a price reduction for its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in the United States. This move comes as part of Tesla’s ongoing efforts to increase affordability and accessibility in the electric vehicle market.
Model 3 Pricing Updates
According to the company’s official website, Tesla has reduced the price of its Model 3 rear-wheel drive variant to $38,990 from the previous price of $40,240. Additionally, the long-range version of the Model 3 now comes at a lower price tag of $45,990, while the performance edition can be purchased for $50,990.
Model Y Pricing Updates
In addition to the Model 3, Tesla has also adjusted the price of its Model Y vehicles. The long-range version of the Model Y is now available for $48,490, down from the previous price of $50,490. Similarly, the performance variant of the Model Y has been priced at $52,490.
Ongoing Price Reduction Initiatives
This is not the first time Tesla has reduced prices for its vehicles in the U.S. In fact, the company has implemented several price cuts throughout this year. In April, Tesla lowered prices for its base models of the Model S and Model X by $5,000 each. These reductions were made with the aim of increasing affordability and attracting a wider consumer base.
Building on this strategy, Tesla decided to further decrease the prices of its Model S and Model X vehicles during September 1st as well.
These continual efforts by Tesla highlight their commitment to making electric vehicles more accessible to consumers and driving the worldwide adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.
