Despite this achievement, Haley’s fundraising total for February was slightly lower than the $16.5 million raised in January. Additionally, the campaign faced a setback when a major supporter, the Koch network’s Americans for Prosperity organization, decided to halt its spending on Haley’s campaign following Trump’s victory in the GOP primary in South Carolina, Haley’s home state.

Donald Trump’s victories in key early states such as Iowa and New Hampshire, coupled with his commanding lead in polling for the upcoming Super Tuesday primaries on March 5, have solidified his position as the frontrunner. Many political analysts are already gearing up for a potential rematch between Trump and President Joe Biden in the general election later this year.

With Trump’s dominance in the primary race, some experts are speculating about his choice for a running mate. As Greg Valliere, the chief U.S. policy strategist at AGF Investments noted, after Super Tuesday, the focus for Republicans will likely shift to who Trump selects as his vice-presidential candidate.
Advertising Spending in GOP Presidential Primary Sees Decline
Recent data from AdImpact, an ad-tracking company, suggests that outlays on advertising in the GOP presidential primary have been decreasing over the course of this year. The company stated that spending has essentially come to a standstill, indicating a slowdown in promotional activities.
Decrease in Haley’s Campaign Spending
A report by AdImpact on Friday highlighted that Haley’s campaign has scaled back its advertising efforts. This reduction was further accentuated by the withdrawal of ad support from Americans for Prosperity, who had previously allocated $13.5 million towards pro-Haley and anti-Trump ads. Looking ahead to upcoming primaries, the report revealed a decrease in presidential advertising investment, with $1.3 million reportedly spent on Republican ad campaigns targeting these elections.
Haley’s Efforts to Strengthen Advertising Presence
Despite the overall decline in advertising spending, Haley’s campaign has been vocal about its advertising initiatives. Just a week ago, the campaign announced a significant “seven-figure ad buy across Super Tuesday states,” emphasizing the importance of providing voters with diverse choices.
