*Stockholm—*Swedish hybrid-electric airplane manufacturer Heart Aerospace has successfully raised $107 million in Series B funding. This latest round of financing brings the company’s total funding to $145 million as it continues to develop its first aircraft, the ES-30. The ES-30 is expected to be certified and ready for service by 2028.
A Sustainable Airplane Solution
Heart Aerospace’s groundbreaking ES-30 will be powered by four electric motors and has a passenger capacity of 30. The aircraft can travel up to 200 kilometers using only electric power or 400 kilometers with a combination of electric and hybrid power. Furthermore, it boasts an impressive flying range of 800 kilometers when carrying 25 passengers.
Strong Demand and Partnerships
Heart Aerospace has already received an incredible 250 orders for the ES-30. Additionally, they have secured options and purchase rights for another 120 planes and have received letters of intent for an additional 191 planes. Major airlines such as Air Canada and United Airlines have placed orders for this innovative aircraft.
Notable Investors
The successful Series B funding round was made possible by the support of prominent investors, including Sagitta Ventures, Air Canada, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, EQT Ventures, European Investment Council, Lower Carbon Capital, Mesa Air Group, and United Airlines Ventures.
