The number of employed persons in Germany increased by 0.1% or 26,000 in September compared to August, but remained 0.9% below the pre-pandemic period. DAX is down -0.28%, EURUSD is down -0.05%.
- The number of employed people without seasonal adjustment increased by 0.6% or 275,000 in September compared to the prior month due to the autumn upturn.
- The number of persons in employment increased by 0.5% or 239,000 in September compared to the same month of last year, in a fifth subsequent year over year increase.
- During the third quarter, the persons in employment increased by 0.4% or 169,000 compared to the preceding quarter.
- The number of unemployed people declined by 356,000 or 20.5% in September compared to last year.
- The rate of unemployment reduced to 3.2% from 4% recorded in September 2020.
- The seasonally adjusted number of unemployed people was 1.44 million in September, a drop of 1.1% or 16,000 compared to August.
- The increase of persons in employment in September 2021 is now bigger than the average for the 2017 and 2019 pre-pandemic periods, which was at 249,000.
