The consumer confidence indicator edged 2.0 points lower in the euro area and further 2.1 points down in the EU in November from October. DAX is down -0.012%, EURUSD is down -0.26%.
- Consumer confidence now stands at -6.8 points in the euro area and -8.2 points in the EU. The consumer confidence indicator is below or close to the pre-pandemic level in the EU and the euro area, respectively, but above the long-term average.
- In October, the euro area posted 0.8 points increase in the Economic Sentiment Indicator to 118.6. The EU’s ESI rose by 1.0 points to 117.6 in the same period.
- The Employment Expectations Indicator rose by 1.1 points in the euro area to 114.5 in October, while in the EU, it increased by 1.2 points to 114.7.
