Wilmington, Del.
Late on Sunday night, a car collided with a parked SUV that was protecting President Joe Biden’s motorcade. Despite the alarming incident, both the president and First Lady Jill Biden emerged unscathed.
As President Biden was making his way from the campaign office to his waiting armored SUV, a sedan forcefully struck a U.S. Secret Service vehicle. This particular vehicle was responsible for sealing off intersections near the headquarters while the president departed. Ignoring the security measures, the sedan proceeded in an attempt to enter a closed-off intersection. It was at this point that Secret Service agents quickly surrounded the vehicle, brandishing their weapons as they instructed the driver to raise his hands.
President Biden, momentarily taken aback by the commotion, turned towards the source of the noise. However, his security detail promptly guided him into the waiting vehicle, where First Lady Jill Biden had already settled. Without further disruption to his itinerary, President Biden was swiftly driven back to their residence.
As of now, the Secret Service has declined to provide immediate comments regarding the incident.
